UKULELE WORKSHOP

This program has been designed to introduce the younger students from 6 to 8 yrs. old to the basics of playing Ukulele and reading music. The program contains very easy arrangements of involving 5 notes on the treble staff.

The student also learns the concept of melody and accompaniment by using different chord shapes. The student is taught how to read music and introduced to basic musical terms such as notes values, time signatures, bar lines, repeat signs and lead-in notes. Both picking and strumming techniques are taught with worksheets, pictures and audio tracks to play along well-known children’s songs.
